It would help to have a count of how many will be staying for lunch so his church may know approximately how much to prepare for the luncheon. We will set out a basket for a free-will offering to help with the food cost
Rev. David Dake will share with us in the morning session about the Matthew 25 Coalition. He writes:
Matthew 25 is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. A few visionary people, who staffed The Lodi Resource Center, saw the coming economic decline through funding cuts. They envisioned churches working together to help families meet emergency financial expenses and help connect them to service organizations that could help meet their need. It was not too long after that a few churches partnered together to make a difference in helping people connect with available resources within their local area. More churches were contacted and invited to receive information and given the opportunity to partner together, developing a coalition, and later develop a 501c3 organization. Presently about twenty-three churches partner together to help meet the needs of the majority of Southern Medina County with an operating budget of $ 45,000 per year.
During the business meeting immediately following the luncheon we will vote on the officers. If any of you have additional nominations, please email me. Those presently serving are willing to continue, but are not married to the position.
