Winter Banquet Report

Last Friday about 60 of us gathered at Malone University to enjoy an evening together. Following a delicious buffet we heard from Dave Kimberly concerning the new Ministry Clinic which will bring 4-5 pastors for two-day sessions, four times in the coming year under Dave’s leadership. “The vision of the clinic is to engage in mutual prayer, reporting-out, brainstorming, and support…” It will include case studies of personal and ministry concerns, and journaling, coaching, and reading between sessions. If you are interested in participating, contact Dave 330-830-9223.

Jeff and Lisa Griffith were with us and told us about their ministry in the Czech Republic to which they will be returning this summer. Jeff is interested in contacting our churches to share the vision and ministry. Call him 330-236-6918 to meet with you and your fellowship. As an Association, we are engaged in figuring out how we may assist him. I will be sharing more about this matter in the coming months.
Mitch Reed and several others led us in a time of worship before artist, Mike Seiler, showed slides of the fascinating ministry the Lord has given him. Through spiritual gifts of art and organization, he and his wife and about 200 other artists have restored several old mansions in the center of Zanesville from ruin, drugs, crime, and prostitution into an art gallery and beautifully remodeled homes where he and his wife, other artists, a lawyer, and other citizens now reside. He spoke of how God is transforming the inner city. Quite a story.

Our Spring Meeting will be at First congregational Church, Lodi, Tuesday April 25, 9:30am-2pm. Chaplain Gary Eno will be our morning speaker. Put the date on your calendar. Hope to see you there.
