Change of Venue

URGENT INFORMATION ON 63rd ANNUAL FAMILY CONFERENCE OF THE CCCC IN CLEVELAND OH

The CCCC Headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota was informed on Thursday, July 21 that the Air Conditioning plant that cools the air throughout the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center at Cleveland’s City Centre had failed and that repair crews were notifying the hotel that repairs would take a minimum of 7 to 10 days to complete. At the time we were informed, guest rooms were already measuring at 115 degrees. This necessitated an emergency change of venue for our Annual Family Conference.

We thank you for your prayers for the CCCC staff, Board, hotel sales staff and the local arrangements team as we scrambled to find a new location. The City of Cleveland was literally sold out as it relates to both hotel and convention space. We also ask for your patience and flexibility as we work through all these changes — it is possible that some of our planned events may yet have to be significantly altered or even cancelled. We are working hard to make this Annual Meeting memorable for all the right reasons!

Board Meeting (Saturday thru Monday):

All Board of Directors’ accommodation reservations have been transferred from the Crowne Plaza to the InterContinental directly. Those arriving on Saturday will be housed in the Cleveland Clinic Guest House (a part of the InterContinental) located directly behind the hotel. Please proceed directly to the Board Meeting in Room 201 of the InterContinental and someone will show you where to register for your room.

Saturday’s Board of Directors’ Meeting will be held in Room 201 of the InterContinental Hotel.

Accommodations and Annual Meeting Events (Monday Evening through Thursday Noon):

Accommodations for the Annual Family Conference will now be provided by the Bertram Inn and Conference Center in Aurora, Ohio just outside of Cleveland, with overflow provided by another local hotel.

All reservations have been transferred by the Crowne Plaza Hotel. All guests are asked to come directly to the Bertram Inn and Conference Center and register for the annual meeting. You will then be provided your guest room information.

The planned events for the Annual Meeting have now been moved to The Signature of Solon Country Club about a mile away from The Bertram in Solon, OH. The Lord has provided some absolutely beautiful facilities for us under the circumstances. Some seminar schedules/room assignments have yet to be made.

Again, we thank you for your prayers, your patience and your flexibility with all of these last-minute changes. We are excited to see what God has in store for this year’s gathering!

Transportation

Transportation between The Bertram and The Signature of Solon will be provided. The Bertram has two recommendations for those needing transportation from Hopkins International Airport (CLE):

There will have to be a lot of adjustments. We will be working to get everything in order and notify people who are registered.

This is an exciting adventure to see how Christ-like Community operates. It looks like the Lord is giving us a test to see if we can live like a Christ-like community.
